PAST CONFERENCE OVERVIEW

This year the conference received more than 160 submissions coming from different parts of the world, including Bangladesh, Serbia, Spain, Tunisia, United States of America, Argentina, Chile, the Netherlands, German, Russia, and Brazil. More than 90 papers have been accepted for having outstanding contributions for the future of Agrichain´s debate. The papers are divided into 11 themes: Agribusiness Chains and Networks Coordination, Institutional Environment, Public Policy and Regulatory Aspects, Agribusiness International Trade, Corporate Strategies, Corporate Governance, Sustainability, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, and Logistics.

The Conference, through its invited panelists, also brought to the discussion themes related to the Future of R&D, Regulation, and Sustainability Practices. We would like to thank these important think tankers in the Agribusiness field: Professor Fernando Vilella (Universidad de Buenos Aires), Professor Peter Zuurbier (Wageningen University), Professor Marcos Fava Neves  (University of Sao Paulo), Professor Elizabeth Farina (University of Sao Paulo), Roberto Waack (Forest Stewardship Council), Xico Graziano (Environment Secretary of Sao Paulo), and Marcos Jank (ÚNICA).

The organizers of the VII IPC Conference would like to thank the extraordinary work of faculty and research team of FEA – Ribeirao Preto that hosted the event in the previous editions. Under the leadership of Professor Marcos Fava Neves and Roberto Fava Scare, the group of colleagues from Ribeirao Preto deserves the credit for the consolidation of the IPC Conference as an international reference for scholars concerned with the field of Agribusiness.
